NEW COMPANION: We sat by each other on the bus ride up and were both so nervous to know who our companions were going to be.. then ends up.. WE are companions haha.
Monday: WENT to the BILTMORE Estate and went it. It was Christmas at the Biltmore as well so there were HUGE trees inside and it was amazing. Biggest house in America. It was such a cool place. Sister Ison wanted to go before she left so she took us. She is awesome. we then had delicious ice cream that was made there. so good. went to the SAB (Stake Assembly Building) building and hung out as a zone for the last time :( Then all parted ways! We had dinner at the Tuckers who make delicious food always. SOO good. FHE was at the Nelsons and sadly no one came.. So we had the lesson and then left. Did some calling/finding.
Tuesday: Last day with Sister Ison. We had a packed schedule! Taught Kathy, Kiel, and Dan the Restoration. Dan is Kathy's husband and soo excited he was able to be at the lesson. It was great to teach them all. Taught Fran, she is still doing good. It was really just a packed day but a successful day. :) Getting so sad and nervous for Sister Ison to leave.
Wednesday, up at 4:30 in the morning!!! Drove to Knoxville in the huge van we always drive, Transfers were fun. I saw tons of people from the MTC, including one of my roommates so I was so excited. I was soo nervous the whole meeting and then they finally called who my companion was going to be and it was Sister Lundberg. She is great. She has been out a transfer longer than me and I just already love her. We are going to be great companions :) Sad bye to Sister Ison that is for sure, glad I am finally done saying bye to companions for a while. That was not fun! Drove home and got home way later than planned because of traffic.
Thursday- Had breakfast at Savannah and Connors, they wanted to meet the new comp. :) Met with Fran which was good. She loves the church and what she is learning, may take a little bit but she is still awesome. The highlight of today was the lesson at night with Josh and Mary, second appointment and he was a bit bible bashing. It was a little rough but then they are both so nice too? So we are going to give it another chance for sure. He loves the beliefs and values we have just not so into the works more than faith. But he is just a little confused.
Friday- District meeting which was awesome, our appointments cancelled so we did finding and happened to go try a refferal and right when we did a potential investigator had walked out of his door so we went and talked with him and he set up a return appointment which was really cool! He is very nice and we are looking forward to meeting with him, Ron. The Christmas party for the ward was tonight. I wish I could have video the whole thing, it was awesome!!! Such amazing talent and they all had such great voices. I really can't explain it all but it was amazing. So the Asheville ward is just awesome.
Saturday, everyone cancelled :) Best days.. ha! So we did lots of finding. Also our car needed the oil changed so we had to take it in and walk around the mall area to see if we could talk to anyone. I didn't enjoy being around there too much so after about an hour we left. We went to another area and were going to contact a potential and she wasn't home. We started going somewhere else and she showed up! So we taught her and she is very nice. We are excited about her. We went and moved an Investigator who just moved into our area and moved for 2 and a half hours. It was actually hard and reminded me of moving in June so I was glad to be done with that haha. But glad to serve someone as well :)
Sunday- No investigators at church. I was very sad. But people have their agency I guess. Anyway the day was pretty good. Not much happened except we went to contact a less-active, and she wasn't there and we were about to leave, then Sis. Lundberg said lets go back and knock on someone elses. So we did and they ended up being very nice, let us in, and we might meet up with them again. Dinner at such a cute families house for dinner. Watched the Christmas Devotional which was great!
So I can't believe this was all this week, seems like forever ago. Things are going good though and I love my new companion. I am excited for this transfer. I hope all of you are doing great at home. I love you all!!!
Love, Sister Farmer
