Week 1 in.... Asheville, NC

Well this has been a LONGG week Family.

Monday after I emailed you guys I packed and did laundry just got ready to go. We had our last class and that was way sad. I was crying not gonna lie haha. The elders in our district gave us a blessing and that was the best. I needed one and it helped me feel so much less nervous to leave so that was great. So I said bye to all of my district except luckily 2 girls that are coming to knoxville with me. But that was sad. We went back to our residence and we have to be in bed by 10:30 but she lost her wallet and so we went to go find it.. LONG hilarious story short we got locked out, barefoot, walked around campus barefoot, and found her wallet and had a security guard get us in haha. It was crazy. So by the time we got to bed it was about 12.

Tuesday, only 2 hrs later we got up at 2 haha.. We had to do last minute packing and be at the front by 3:30. So we made it, 4 guys almost missed the bus but got there. I slept the hr drive to salt lake and we made it. Pulling all of my luggage was a joke. So hard and I think my arms were sore the next day. We got all checked in and then I called my fam!!! YAY. So fun to talk to them. It was madness to find a payphone and the paying part was hard to figure out but I talked to them. the flight I slept the whole way haha. During the layover in GA I called my parents and talked to them haha. It was fun. Then we flew to knoxville and met my mission president! Also an elder came and said hello we have a mutual relative, I met elder Mumm! We have the same Aunt basically haha. Very funny. We relaxed and met with the mission president and hung out with everyone and went to bed like 9, to hopefully catch up on sleep. It was a good day.

Wednesday, the day I found out where I was going. Man. SO dead tired in the morning learning mission rules and stuff. We then found out where we were going and as my title said, I am in Asheville, North Carolina! I am in a Trio and I love both my companions. One of them knows James really well so that is funny but yea they are great. Transfer meeting was long and fun but then we were finally on our way to asheville. We stopped at panda and then 2 and a half hr drive. I talked to Sister Paxton, the one that knows James well and then my other comp. is Sister Ison who is way nice as well. We got back and met a sweet lady Sis. Gnomes. Shes a convert of 3 yrs. idk how I am suppose to tell you guys about each day because soo much happens in a day. Basically we met her, she is the sweetest, we went to dinner, and met with a lady names Lori who is a convert of 1 yr. she is a bit crazy in the head but is hilarious. Then finally I was home and went to bed.

Thursday was a LONG HARD day. I was so tired and their was meeting after meeting. I met lots of great people. We taught a lot of people and it was just long. We also had weekly planning and that was good. I napped and we met with people like regular..

Friday was the next long hard day. It is great meeting these people but hard to tell you guys about each one so I will just touch on a few good ones haha.

Kathy and Kyle, he is in a wheel chair paralyzed from his waist down. Kathy is his mom. They are the sweetest people and aren't committed to baptism but I think they will wednesday. They are great.

Jeff is a great guy that walked into the church about a month ago and the sisters weren't able to get a hold of but we finally did and met with him and talked about the restoration. He has a lot of potential and I think will get baptized. He is great. When we were teaching him man the spirit was so strong. It was an awesome lesson.

Ryan is a crack up. He is committed for baptism and has autism. He is funny and his lessons are great.

Ramiro and William both got baptized about a month ago and are awesome. They are brothers and are so nice! We just have new member follow ups with them but they are great.

Connor and Savannah are great. Connor just got baptized and savannah was in active but now they come and they have a 6 month baby. They got me a cookie cake that said welcome sister farmer the first day I met them. So I love them already haha.

We also found 2 families that we will be meeting with this week so hopefully things work out great for them!

That's basically my days this last week. I will just give previews on my investigators because it is too hard to explain the day in detail because so much happens. Saturday was like Friday as well.

Sunday I met all the ward and they are so welcoming and nice. Everyone thought it was great I was from Idaho haha. Not too many crazy accents. Food isn't that bad yet. I am definitely going to gain some though. We had a linger longer, just food after church, and it was so good. Anyway.

That is my week. I am sure I left a lot out but you guys already probably don't want to read all that haha. We have a lot of potential. The schedule is long and hard but I can do it! I miss home like crazy but that will hopefully fade. I love you all and love all the support. It means everything to me! Hope everyone is doing well.

Love, Sister Farmer
