Well this week was an alright week. After my email I had went home and got things done around the house and at 6 we went to a members to have dinner! It was delicious. we had fried chicken that had no bones haha, some yummy potatoes and this yummy apple pie. We then had a family home evening, like a lesson, at another members house and it was super fun and for dessert... apple pie haha. So I had it twice! I am going to gain a lot!!
Tuesday one of my comps. was gone on exchanges so that was sad but we still taught a lot of people and had some good lessons. also met 3 new people who have potential! Our dinner with this older family that was suppose to be a rough meal so I was nervous to eat it, got cancelled thank goodness haha. So we went to Wendy's and TCBY. DELICIOUS. We meet with this Hispanic family and they know hardly any English but we take these two recent converts and have them translate. The lessons are hard because I just sit and hear Spanish haha. But it is still good. We met with them again on Saturday and the two converts forgot so that was rough. we basically just tried to communicate. It was a funny experience.
Wednesday Sister Paxton, the other comp. was back and so that was fun. nothing too crazy happened this day. We did meet with Jeff and taught the Plan of Salvation which he loved but he really likes incenses( if that is spelled right) and I almost die. It is like we are sitting in the middle of a fire there is so much smoke. okay probably a little dramatic but there is a lot. We met with him again Saturday as well and it was even worse. Plus I kind of had a headache and I was worried there was more than just the incenses and I thought I was gonna get sick or something haha. but they are always great lessons. He said he always gets a great feeling when he is around us and he loves that so he keeps inviting us over.
Thursday we had a pretty good day taught a lot of people, kathy and kiel, one of my favorites haha, committed to baptism! They are SOO sweet. I love them. That was exciting. Just a normal day we had teaching people. too many to tell all of the people.
Friday was a long/hard day! We had a District meeting and so it was fun to see an elder from the mtc and to hang out with everyone. then guess what.. wendy's for lunch. This is getting ridiculous haha. Like usual just met with people, and then we had dinner at a cute family the ostylers. for dessert it was like a coconut rice with mango? She went on a mission to Tahiti. It was pretty good though. we then met with a girl named lori. she is a recent convert and one of my favorites. she has a weasel tattoo on both arms and is freaking hilarious haha. She is like out of it always on meds but is funny. WE sang the articles of faith and she loved that. luckily one of my comps know them too so we sing together. but that was fun.
Saturday we met a family that has 3 kids. she had been smoking for a while because she has two tiny teeth and then none. I have to focus on her eyes so i don't look at her teeth haha. but the kids were hard to focus so that was rough. she liked the lesson though and we met with them again in a week. we then did service at the salvation army! Just cleaned it up and stuff. then we met with jeff like I said above where I about died from all the smells. we had dinner at a members and it was good but had onions on top so I scooped that aside :) then cherry pie so I tried not eating the cherries. the ward members feed well but usually there are a couple of things that I just like to not eat haha. my comps. plates are always spotless and mine always has a little haha. then was the appointment where we could hardly communicate with the sanchez.
Sunday we had a successful sacrament. lots of people came so that was fun! I was hoping they would. I had to give the opening prayer and was freaking out but it went alright. We taught the lesson for some 13 and 14 year olds and we had some great visuals thanks to sister paxton. after church we went to sister gomes the sweetest lady and had a lunch with her and her atheist husband. we went on a hike and she is so sweet. we met with some other investigators and then went home to do numbers and bed.
Also Friday just my luck, I hadn't folded my clean clothes and so my dirty clothes were just on the floor, i finally got around to it and put all my dirty clothes in a basket and of course! a huge brown spider comes running by me while I am sitting on the floor. I freaked out! ahh. but I survived.
Sorry so much happens I forget and don't have everything but I have met some great people and thank you all for the support. it is awesome! I love you all! I am learning so much and my testimony of so many gospel principles has grown! It is crazy!
